591,000 Latinos are eligible to vote in New Mexico, over 10% of them are immigrants. Our families are a growing force in the state’s electoral landscape. Through ¡Viva el Voto! Somos members are building long-term power in semi urban and rural communities throughout New Mexico. Along with year-round organizing campaigns for civil and worker’s rights, we coordinate citizenship and naturalization outreach, voter registration drives, and nonpartisan get-out-the vote activities.

The disparate effects of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to underscore how little political power our communities have. That is why Somos members continued to build power county-by-county in New Mexico.
